RECENT HIGHLIGHTS & PREVIEW OF COMING ATTRACTIONS:  WHO'S GONE, WHO'S NEXT ?

  9.  MIL is STILL ALIVE:  In the crowded NL CENTRAL, Milwaukee could have been eliminated from DIV 2ND by a FRIDAY Sweep.
9-25 Even with the Friday Split, since all their remaining games are vs. STL, ANY LOSS eliminates MIL from DIV 2ND,
because it would give STL 30 W, MIL 31 L.  However, if MIL manages to WIN SAT. & SUN., they finish 30-30 and push STL to 29-29.
That outcome would appear to make the 2 STL makeups vs. DET necessary.  STAY TUNED !!

*NEW* 8A.  Correction:  AZ's MN =1, not 2, at moment of Pennant Solution © Elimination because MIL's 26th Win preceded AZ's 34th Loss by 21 mins.
9-25

  8.  AZ is OUT:  As in OUT of WC, OUT of PLAYOFFS:  and it's all due to the WILD & WACKY NL CENTRAL
9-20     At Start of Sunday, the 3 W C teams behind PHI all had 25 W, so the Magic No. would say you need 25 W to
remain alive for 2nd WC.  But MIL has 3 SGR vs. CIN, 5 SGR vs. STL, so one of those teams MUST WIN AT LEAST 28.
So AZ's best chance was to hope that MIL swapped into 2nd in NL C (and out of WC "Div"), pushing CIN into WC.
Why?  CIN has 0 SGR vs. STL, so WC2 MinWin would depend on CIN W only.  CIN W on Sunday raised that  Target
from 26 W to 27 W.  And when AZ lost #34 just 28 mins. later, it was "See you in 2021" (MN = 2 at Elim).

  7.  PIT on the brink:  As pointed out previously, NOT SAFE THU. L = Elim from DIV 2nd (MN would be 1).
9-17               However, even if they win on Thu., in fact, even if they manage a 3-game Win Streak through Friday's DH,
they could be out if MIL beats K C Fri. (MN would STILL BE 2 !!, or 1 if CIN also wins).

  6.  PIT on the brink:  SAFE Wed., NOT SAFE THU.  2 L = Elim from DIV 2nd (OR if PIT W WED., L THU., still out IF CIN W WED.).
9-16      In WC, PIT Pennant Solution (c) Down to 3 (Delta = 2).

  5.  PIT, AZ Both CRUISIN' for a BRUISIN'.  Their WC Pennant Solutions © are 4 & 5, resp., (Delta = 2), and those WC Eliminations
9-15      would knock them out of the Playoffs (AZ already out of NL W 2nd, and PIT Pennant Solution (c) for NL C 2nd is 3 (Delta = 3).

  4.  Still watching AZ.  Out of DIV 2nd 9-13 (but MN = PS), BUT PS now 5 (Delta = 2) for Total Playoff Elim.
9-14      PIT (Delta = 4), WAS (Delta = 3) warming up in the bullpen.

9-13 3.  AZ could be 1st Out of a DIV 2nd (but MN = PS).  However, PIT (Delta = 5) & WAS (Delta = 3) have PS running well ahead
of the Magic. No., although there's a long way to go.  And even AZ will be alive for awhile in the WC (PS still 8).,
EVERYBODY is still alive in the NL !   With only 15 days to go, the SMALLEST PS for Elimination is STILL 8 (xcept NL W) !
Sit back and enjoy, people - It's going to be a Wild Ride !

9-10 2.  AZ could be 1st Out of a DIV 2nd (but MN = PS).  However, PIT (Delta = 6) & WAS (Delta = 4) have PS running well ahead
of the Magic. No., although there's a long way to go.  And even AZ will be alive for awhile in the WC (PS still 10).,
EVERYBODY is still alive in the NL !   With only 17 days to go, the SMALLEST PS for Elimination is STILL 10 !
Sit back and enjoy, people - It's going to be a Wild Ride !

*NEW* 1.  Start of THU. 9-10 - A Z Could Be 1st Eliminated From NL West.  Already out of 1st, Only 3 LOSSES would keep them from 2nd
9-10
